Record directions and set targets using spoken word and other sound effects. For example: "You have three minutes to reach your target. Look for the sign when you get to the goalpost."
Students could race against a sound of a ticking clock, or a piece of music of a set length. (When the sound finishes the commentary says "You should now be near the goalpost.")
Then encourage the students to plan and create tests or games like this for each other.
