As well as using maps that you have made in the free HP Map Aligner software (see information on how to make your own map using your own image), you can create your own maps (by drawing or scanning one.) Whether you do this, or get your map from the OS, the following steps explain how to convert the image so it can be used in your mediascape

In mscape maker, click on Tools and then on Create map from image

If using an HP Map Aligner .MAD file, choose the second option as you have recorded the coordinates on a PDA and now want to make a map.

If you are using coordinates from somewhere else (Ordnance Survey or other sources), then chose the first option as you have your map and coordinates.

The third option allows you to create a map file without any coordinates associated with it.
